My mom had one - 88 LXi coupe, autotragic. It was a great car.

Such a good car. I had an 86 LX sedan 5 speed and an 87 LXi hatch auto. Sure, they weren’t powerful, but it was a joy to drive and had a good feel like you were connected to the road. I miss both of them.

LXi is enough to qualify :)
My 87 LX sedan made it up snowy hills that Suburbans couldn’t, though, in retrospect, I’m looking at thirtysomething.
The thing I hated about Hondas of that era was the hunt between 3-4 with the autos.
But if you need to drive up a big hill in the snow and ice? I got you.
This was a thing I learned.

Can confirm re the auto transmission.
Also, the 5 speed had enough power to break traction when wet. It would just spin the tires for days

Always liked the pop up lights, which were not seen in many markets. Still a number of these on the road in the PNW. 89 was the final run of this style, with the IMO pinnacle of Accord 4th gen coming for 1990.
